GENERAL VOLUNTEER
SCCF is always looking for volunteers who want to give back to their community. We have many different events throughout the year that are only possible because of our amazing community members willing to donate their time.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SCCF Board of Directors is made up of two individuals from each of our seven counties (Barber, Comanche, Kingman, Kiowa, Pratt, Rice, and Stafford). Main responsibilities include reviewing and discussing the daily operations of the Foundation (financial, grants, scholarships, donor relations, etc.) Also assisting Foundation staff in Board Member’s county as well with what’s going on, areas of growth or concerns, and cultivating new Foundation Friends.
Board meetings are in February, May, July, September, and November on the second Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. held at Pratt Community College.
Currently recruiting one new Board Member from Rice County.
EVENTS COMMITTEE
The Events Committee is created every five years to help plan and execute our Anniversary Celebrations. Our next Anniversary is in September of 2024 to celebrate our 30th!
This committee is responsible for selecting a date, location, theme, and other details important to the Anniversary Gala. This committee will begin meeting in February of 2024 and meet as needed until September's event.
GRANTS COMMITTEE
The SCCF Adults Grant Committee is made up of two individuals from each county. The main responsibilities of this committee is to review the annual grant applications, received in early September, and then be prepared to discuss and select recipients at the all-counties grant meeting in late September (typically on a weekday beginning at 9 a.m.).
The Adults Grant Committee members also help plan their County's Award Ceremony which takes place in late October or early November with the help of the Youth Making a Difference Council members.
INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
This Committee is responsible for reviewing all of the Foundation's assets. Working with Graystone Consulting, SCCF's money manager that was hired in 2018, the Committee meets as needed.
Currently recruiting members from all seven counties except Pratt County.
MARKETING COMMITTEE
This is a new committee to the Foundation. Responsibilities will include developing a marketing strategy for all seven of our counties and assisting with promotion of the materials. Like the Board of Directors, SCCF needs members from each of the seven counties so we can identify where the areas of success and concern are, allowing the Foundation to help the communities as best as possible.
Currently recruiting members from all seven counties.
TEACHER'S GRANT COMMITTEE
Responsible for reviewing the applications from all seven of our counties for Teacher's Grant and selecting recipients. Typically, the Foundation receives between 60-100 applications depending on the year.
Applications are due August 31st, the Committee member have around a month to review the applications before meeting as a group at the end of September. SCCF will then host Award Ceremonies for each of the seven counties at the end of October or early November which you would be invited to attend.

YOUTH MAKING A DIFFERENCE (YMAD) COUNCIL
This Council is made up of students (high school freshmen through seniors) from our seven county service area. For more information, please visit our Youth Council page.
Always accepting applications. Youth must apply before August of their senior year to be considered.
