YMAD: County Service Projects
Projects made possible by a grant from Patterson Family Foundation
ABOUT
South Central Community Foundation is proud to announce a $70,500 Youth Engagement Grant from the Patterson Family Foundation. This two-year grant will empower the Youth Making a Difference (YMAD) Council to lead county-wide community service projects across SCCF’s seven-county region.
YMAD — a youth philanthropy group formed in 2003 with students from Barber, Comanche, Kingman, Kiowa, Pratt, Rice, and Stafford counties — will use this funding to identify community needs, plan service projects, manage budgets, and distribute donated items to local nonprofits.
This grant is an incredible opportunity for our youth to step into leadership roles and see first-hand how philanthropy can impact their communities,” said Hannah Brummer, SCCF Program Manager. “Our goal is to inspire a lifelong habit of giving and service, and this support from the Patterson Family Foundation makes that possible in a meaningful and lasting way.”
Through hands-on grantmaking and service leadership, YMAD members will build skills, deepen their understanding of local needs, and inspire long-term civic engagement — helping close the philanthropic gap and create the next generation of changemakers.
