Bonnie Dudrey Memorial Scholarship

Bonnie Dudrey was born on March 1, 1936. After completing her Associate’s Degree from Kansas City Community College, she received her Home Economics degree from Kansas State University in 1958. Bonnie joined the Kansas Wheat Commission in Hutchinson, Kan., as a home economist, a role she held until 1981.

In January of 1981, Bonnie married Carl Dudrey from St. John and moved to Stafford, Kan., to establish their new home. In her 33 years as an active member of the Stafford community, she was a loving homemaker and served as an office manager for Dudrey Cattle Company. In addition, she took on active roles in a number of community and philanthropic groups including PEO, Modern Homemakers, and the South Central Community Foundation, where she served as a Board of Director for many years. She also served on the boards for the Stafford Hospital and Wesley Towers in Hutchinson, Kansas. Bonnie sadly passed away on March 20, 2014. This scholarship was established by her husband Carl in her memory.
